- Viva electronics are the result of years of researches on the philology of the sound and of the reproduction of the music. The designer had always had as reference the live music either the conservatory one (‘classical’) without any form of amplification, or the ‘Jazz’, without forgetting the ‘electrical’ forms, being avantgarde or ‘rock’ and ‘popular’. The constant frequentation of concerts and the work in recording studios and the design of recording studios themselves led to a developing of a deep sensibility to the various forms of musical expression. This sensibility is a key on the reaserch of the aspects of the relation between the live and the reproduced music and it is shared with the actual teamwork that includes musicians and sound engineers.
This assembly technique allows a better mechanical and electrical behavior, and it avoids unnecessary connections. It involves far more highly skilled labor than the usual authomatic printed circuit board technique, but also eliminates the distortion induced, both electrically and mechanically, by the printed circuit board itself. - The circuits are done in an essential but highly performing way with attention to the sinergy between the stages in order to obtain minimum number of electronic stages, but with the stages themselves with very pushed performance and harmonized between them. The quality of parts is very high, and the components are chosen with attention to the musical behaviour in their own application in the circuit. The transformers, built by hand by skilled personnel under the supervision of the designer, are designed carefully and use very fine parts, like the special cores used. - The characteristics that the listener notes are towards a sound that is different from a 'classical' tube equipment, with a real fast performance. This real speed means that there is not a fake sensation of artificially enhanced 'definition'. There is, instead of such colorations, a richness of informations and details, along with a naturalness of emission, without the coldness of most solid state electronics or, on the other hand, the excess of even harmonics that affects most tube electronics. The very low level of distortion and the low noise (reached without any form of feedback!), make unuseful the use of softening colorations, frequently used to compensate distortions. The naturalness of the sound in Viva amplifiers avoids the heaviness of the sound that characterizes many tube or solid state amplifiers.
When people listen to Viva amplifiers, they cannot believe that the RMS power is on the range of only 20-35 Watts. This fact was a key for the conquest of a name among the most advanced audiophiles in USA. The ability of Viva Amplifiers to drive difficult speakers systems like big electrostatics or demanding dynamic ones, created a small 'case' in the audiophile community. Even the Solista, if not at the level of the big Viva power amplifiers, is able to work well with hard to drive loudspeakers. See, about this and about Viva in general, the reviews and comments on many magazines. - In any case, to match the tastes of people with more difficult speakers, Viva is making a line of Push Pull Amplifiers, characterized by the same kind of essential circuitry, with uncommon solutions. - Also the look is characterized by original choices, with an aestetic oriented to an architectural elegant presentation, with a wide choice of colours, to match the customer's taste. - Speaking of aesthetics, Viva is characterized by a stylish look, proper of a 'design' object. Of course, everybody has its proper taste, Viva takes the 'function' design at high levels, making a look that has not unuseful tricks, elegant and essential. |
